Cristiano Ronaldo expresses delight at Al-first Nassr's goal after grabbing the ball from a teammate to take a penalty.

CRISTIANO RONALDO took to social media to express his joy after scoring his first goal for new club Al-Nassr.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, 37, joined the Saudi Arabian side in December for a reported £173 million per year.

He failed to score in either of his first two appearances against Ettifaq or Al-Ittihad.

On Friday night, however, he made his debut with a stoppage-time penalty as Al-Nassr drew 2-2 with Al Fateh.

Ronaldo was seen taking the ball from Saudi Pro League top scorer Talisca before the spot kick as the Brazilian prepared to put the ball down on the spot.

The Portugal legend then went through his routine before firing down the middle to tie the game.

But instead of his usual "Siu" celebration, he grabbed the ball and ran to the centre circle in search of a winner.

After the game, Ronaldo was able to celebrate his first goal for the club.

"Happy to have scored my first goal in the Saudi league and great effort by the whole team to achieve an important draw in a very difficult match!" he wrote on Instagram.

Ronaldo has three appearances for Al-Nassr, with one win, one loss, and one draw.

They remain top of the Saudi Pro League table on goal difference, with a game in hand over second-place Al-Shabab.

They will, however, be without top scorer Talisca for the match against Al-Wehda on Thursday after he was sent off in the final seconds of the draw with Al Fateh.

The 29-year-old was given a yellow card for a poor challenge, but that was upgraded to red after a VAR review.
